The approaching of
Dawn
is marked by a
cock's crow
The sky still held
some stars
A soft dew on the
ground
I wipe sleep from
my eyes
Yawned, stretched,
got out of bed
got dressed had
some coffee
grabbed my gloves
and jacket
ready to start the
day
I head out to the
barn
Some cows were
still sleeping
The chickens just
woke up
The rooster stood
proudly
The horse whinnied
greetings
The pigs wanted to
eat
As I watched the
sun rise
a strange thought
came my way
This farm keeps me
alive
what more is there
to say
My life is pretty
sweet
