my dog takes an
afternoon nap
and can fall asleep
in a snap
it's something I
have problems doing
me I can't sleep
during the day
except when the
skies turn gray
that's when a nap's
worth pursuing
chewing this over
in my head
I went and crawled
in to my bed
contemplating it in
my dreams
wondering is any
thing real
and what is this
thing that I feel
I don't understand
what it means
I know it seems
quite old fashion
so have compassion
for day dreams
